In the ongoing fight to keep the tollbooths off the information superhighway, we have many allies who understand the longterm consequences of doing away with Net Neutrality. John Kerry is one such ally, and he has checked in with Save The Internet.com and provided a guest blog entry of the progress of the Senate version of the bill.
Let me say once again that Net Neutrality is something that we can not afford to lose. If the telecommunications companies get the right to charge exorbitant amounts to ensure that a website downloads quickly--or at all--then the internet as we know it will be gone. Podcasts, blogs, personal websites, politically and socially active sites, etc., may not be able to survive in the reality of an internet without Net Neutrality. You can help stop this by contacting your Senators today!
