The auditions continue in the cities of Charlston, S.C. (wonder if Big Fatty was there????) and Washington, D.C. (maybe Tim Corrimal or Archerr's Boyfriend????).
I missed the first 45 minutes, due to some stuff which came up (wish I had a DVR!!!!), but I give my critiques on the auditions I did see. Get the good, the bad, and the ugly here!

It's the second night of the auditions for *So You Think You Can Dance*, and the cra-crazies are out in full force!
Once again, I critique each of the auditions and give my predictions about who will be in the competition for a while. I also share an email from a listener, and hope I hear from many more of you.

As promised, here is the first installment of The So You Think You Can Dance update.
Q: What do a hot Russian guy in tighty whities, a weepy girl, a soccer girl, and a would-be superhero have in common? A: They all auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance on tonight's episode. I only got to see the last hour, due to a conflict with Antiques Roadshow and no DVR and I give my impressions of all performers. I welcome comments on all performances--particularly the first hour ones. I'm no "blank slate" on this show! Intro Music:

Back to my old opinionated self again, and I take on what Memorial Day means to me.
I have never been a serviceman, but I am related to one, so don't expect objectivity on this one!

Ramble Redhead and I both thought David Cook might have come this far and fallen short, but speaking for myself, I am so glad I was wrong! David Cook was always one of my favorites and the one that I felt worked the hardest, innovated the most, and was clearly the strongest and most deserving finalist of Season Seven. Not to mention, it could not have happened to a nicer, more humble guy. Needless to say, his new single and his album will be on my "must buy" list when they come available. Congratulations, David Cook! You are The American Idol!

Ramble Redhead and I have our final discussion of American Idol.
It's been great having Tom as a guest on my show, and his friendship is something I very much treasure.
Thanks again, Tom! Only one more week of the Idol Update, and then I'm on to *So You Think You Can Dance." Intro Music: "Deep Cycle Discharge" by Podsafe Music Network artists Simon James and Derek K. Miller

As you know, Tom, the host of Ramble Redhead, and I recently spoke to the Perceptions GLBT group in Saginaw Michigan.
We were invited to talk about podcasting, the wealth of GLBT podcasts out there, as well as our shows. We both recorded our talks and I posted mine a few days ago. Now, Tom has posted his recording as well. Please go to his site and give it a listen and a comment as well. The show posting can be found here. Thanks again to Tom for everything.
