I usually begin each episode with an inspirational message about building the life of one's dreams and changing when things are not going according to plan.
I also talked last week about the need to be better toward each other. Both of these messages hit me between the eyes this week. Listen in for more... Who knows better what "Support the Troops" means?
Is it a former soldier: VideoVets: Michael Breen How about the mother of a soldier: VideoVets: Pamela Osborne Or, maybe the sister of a soldier? VideoVets: Michelle Barish Or, do we have to trust the words of a politician saying we are making "progress" in the war in Iraq? I look at the Virginia Tech shooting and ask one question:
When things like this happen, why are we more enthusiastic about laying blame than we are about making sure everybody has been helped first? Music today:

As promised, here is the new video by David Ippolito.
The song is a merciless spoof of Bill O'Reilley, often using his own quotes against him in a way that has to be heard to be believed! LOL. Watch the video, then go to YouTube and comment on it. Let me know as well what you think about the video.

I apologize for the late posting. My two jobs are keeping me super busy, and the production schedule may be erratic for a while.
I appreciate everybody's patience. Imus is unemployed. Duke University lacrosse players are off the hook. Was justice done, or was it all for money? Either way, the conversation about racism continues. Music today:

But why am I whispering, when the pro-war shills are shouting as loud as ever in support of President Bush's failed Iraq war? I wanna scream, shout, let it all out, and get our servicemembers out of the hell they continuously find them in. Wanna lend me a hand? Cool!
The video below is produced by the progressive, anti-war group known as "Code Pink," of which I am a proud member. It is available on YouTube, and Code Pink is asking everybody who blogs or emails to get this message out to as many people as possible. It only takes a few minutes of your time, so let's do this, and shout so loudly that we might just drown out the clowns on a certain "News" network.

To all my fans: this week has been a whirlwind of activity, and I was not able to put together a new episode.
I offer you the show's first ever rerun of the episode I posted last Easter. As you will probably be able to tell, it was early in the show's history, and things will sound quite different. Enjoy, and know that I will be posting a new episode this coming week, and you will NOT want to miss it. Happy Easter, David *************************************** Happy Easter, everybody! In days of old, this holiday celebrated what was understood to be the return of life to the Earth. As Christianity spread throughout Europe, the Church encountered many Earth-based spiritualities and worked to replace their Equinox celebrations with the idea of life returning to a body. In the biblical resurrection story, that body was of Jesus. In my interpretation, Jesus was fulfilling the message that he had taught for most of his ministry: that death was an illusion and life was a continuous circle, never ending and never broken. He demonstrated this by allowing his body to be killed and then calling life back into it two days later. He taught us that we can do this to the extent of our belief. He also taught that this power must be used responsibly. I believe that this was how Myrtle Fillmore healed herself, and how we all can heal ourselves. Go within today and ask yourself where you can bring life back into your body and enjoy the experience. Music:
