I was having some challenges coming up with a topic for this week's episode, and thanks to Tom Holmes of the Deep Fabulousity Podcast, I took a look at the news events for inspiration.
I had mentioned one story last week about Virginia Senator George Allen using a potentially derogatory nickname toward a campaign worker for his opponent, Jim Webb.
The campaign worker was of Indian (not Native American) descent, but had been born and raised in Fairfax County, Virginia.
After several sloppy attempts to backtrack on what he meant in his videotaped speech, and podcasters, bloggers, the independent media, and (at long last) the mainstream media holding him accountable, George Allen apologized for his conduct.

For this week's topic, I was also inspired by a song that just got posted on the Podsafe Music Network by the group Quinn called "Letting Your Light Shine".
I discuss several Bible references, including the verse about letting your life shine (Matt 5:14-16, NRSV), and what it means to let your life shine.
Basically, it means acknowledging that you have a power within you that is your full potential for good, clearing away blocks that do not allow this power to come forward, and then acting from that power in every moment of every day in your life.
In the Prayer Circle, we let our lights shine, mingle, and radiate to the entire Universe. Join us and glow!
The Prayer Circle is open to all people everywhere. If you wish to submit prayer requests to the Prayer Circle, you may do so by any of the contact methods I have provided.
In the interest of confidentiality, I will only give initials and location of the person during the Prayer Circle.
